Meet Kid Simple. He's one of a new breed of producers moving away from hip-hop and now starting to make wonky dubstep. He's from Seattle and hasn't even been producing dubstep for a year yet but has already caught the attention of a lot of big producers in the scene. He would say his biggest influences probably are Joker, Starkey, J Dilla, Skream, and Kito (pretty sick then!).

He's signed to Shift Recordings and Double Drop Recordings. As far as releases go, he has 2 tunes out on a Shift compilation called Seattle Selections, 1 tune out on a Double Drop compilation called In Sub We Trust Vol. 1, and has an EP forthcoming on Double Drop by early next year.

Kid Simple has been getting lots of attention and his tunes have been featured on loads of big mixes, most notably Starkey's FACT mix.

He's been kind enough to send me a few tunes, which unfortunately for you I can't post but they're BIGGG and they'll be coming out soon so keep an eye out for them!

You can download a mix of his below with a nice track selection, including his own material, as well as tunes from Synkro, Guido and Numan, so make sure you grab that and check it out:
